T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach's engagement got 'blessing' from ex-spouses

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s upcoming nuptials have the “blessing” of the former “Good Morning America” co-hosts’ ex-spouses, who are dating each other — after speculation of an affair ended the ABC alumni’s tenure at the network.
An insider told Us Weekly that Holmes, 48, and 53-year-old Robach “have the blessing of their exes to get married,” referring to their respective second spouses Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, both of whom “are invited to the wedding.”
While Fiebig, 48, and the 59-year-old “Melrose Place” star actually “won’t be going” to the wedding, Holmes and Robach’s blended family “will be there,” and likely involved.
It’s unclear whether Holmes’ eldest children, Brianna and Jaiden, will take part in the ceremony itself, and whether Robach’s former stepsons will attend.
Still, the source said Robach is hoping her soon-to-be-stepdaughter Sabine, 13, will be a bridesmaid along with her own daughters, Ava, 23, and 20-year-old Annalise.
Holmes welcomed eldest daughter Brianna and only son Jaiden with first wife Amy Ferson, a political commentator from whom he parted ways in 2007. He moved on three years later when marrying Fiebig, an immigration lawyer and Save the Children’s chief diversity officer.
His impending marriage to Robach was announced during an October 2025 episode of their iHeart Radio podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” first started nearly a year after ABC’s late 2022 probe into their romance. It was that same December 2023 day that insiders told People Fiebig and Shue were dating each other.
In the debut episode of “Amy & T.J.,” Robach said she’s “still saying I’m sorry” to her daughters — both from her marriage to Tim McIntosh — over the scandal, which she dubbed “a hard, hard journey … We’re all in therapy.”
“Best friends” Holmes and Robach were working for “GMA3” in November 2022 when cozy photos surfaced. Though People reported they’d each split from their spouses earlier that summer, ABC took Holmes and Robach off the air and initiated an investigation.
